You are ready to place an order! How exciting! Once you place your order, you will receive an order invoice. You can also always find the invoices in your profile at the order page. On the invoice, the prices of the ordered products are listed, as well as the shipping costs, handling fees and possibly the taxes. You can read more about these components below.
How are shipping costs calculated?
Upon checkout, shipping rates will be clearly indicated by the supplier. Shipping costs will vary depending on your region.
How are handling fees calculated?
Handling fees are calculated by taking 0,3 percent of the gross transaction amount (the total of all products, including the VAT). This handling fee will be clearly indicated on your invoice and added to your invoice total.
How are taxes calculated?
You will pay the tax rate applicable in your country if you purchase from a supplier from your own country. The Orderchamp platform is able to shift the VAT for international transactions automatically, but only if a valid VAT number has been entered by you, the retailer. If you order internationally but have not filled in your VAT number the order can either be rejected or the local VAT of the supplier will be charged.
When is the VAT shifted:
When you order a product from a different country within Europe - please note you do need to file this in your own tax statements as intercommunal deliveries.
